The adopt-a-stoner program was designed to allow Potspace supporters to give some extra benefits to stoner friends who may not be able to afford supporting Potspace on a monthly basis but would like to take advantage of some of the features available to monthly supporters. For instance an adopted user can store 1000 messages in their inbox instead of 200 messages. Another example is adopted members can see who the last 50 members were who viewed their profile.

Each potspace supporter has the ability to adopt one stoner, thus giving that stoner increased member privileges on Potspace. Each supporter can change who they are adopting or completely remove who they are adopting at any time. Someone who is a supporter themselves can not be adopted. Also those already adopted can not be adopted unless they first become unadopted.
